About

Welcome to My Gluten Free Home!

I’m Rita, a born and raised Greek, a stay-at-home-mother, addicted to coffee and dessert, food lover and food writer who lives in Las Vegas for 5 years.

A  decade ago, I was diagnosed with celiac disease, the adjustment was hard but it didn’t discourage me to pursue my dream, to be a cook and trying to re-create the already known classic recipes from Greece and all over the world, with a little twist and modern approach.I studied Hospitality and Culinary Arts and I have worked for  5-star hotels in Greece as well as upscale breweries.

Years ago, while I was a new mom of an adorable little girl, I started this blog to share my passion for gluten-free cooking and baking and I am always open in uncommon flavor combinations.

anna-testerTogether, with my trusty little assistant and picky food critic, we present you healthy, gluten-free food promised to make your taste buds tickle!

I  also write at Honest Cooking, Eatins Canada, and you can find my recipes at  Tastespotting, and Foodgawker.

  13. Dear Rita Ann, I have been remiss in not letting you know that I have nominated you for a Sunshine Blogger Award. I apologize, and here is the link https://koolkosherkitchen.wordpress.com/2016/10/11/more-awards-and-a-dinner/ You are not in any way obligated to accept, and I fully understand that not everyone has the time and inclination to participate in these self-and-others-promoting exercises. Therefore, I will truly appreciate if you accept the nomination, as I sincerely think you deserve it, but I won’t get offended if you don’t. • Great, thank you for the information! i like oat flour and coconut flour. I’m now sure I need gluten’free diet (I just prefer don’t go to doctors, they can treat you until death ;)). How you realized about your celiac decease? Maybe enough some 1 lest?

      • You should go to a doctor for a regular checkup. At least, that’s what I do. Celiac disease is not treatable anyway, the only treatment is to avoid gluten.
I found out something was wrong with me almost 11 years ago. When I in college I start losing weight and had terrible stomach ache. Until one morning I ate whole wheat cereals and the pain was unbearable!
