Strawberry-banana and peach jam with Amaretto

Hello everyone! It’s been almost two months since my last blog and I really missed it! I’m so occupied and busy with my little one… A hyperactive 1 1/2 year old girl that doesn’t know when to stop moving! I found out that she is so much like me and I influence her routine! Every time she opens the pantry and the fridge to make cookies!

So, today I made jam with Amaretto…! I remembered that my mom makes banana jam with rum and I said “Why not add some Amaretto in mine?” And the results are Devine!

i had my little helper also next to me. It was more like a mess than a help, but is the thought that counts!

for my jam I used:

  • 1 1/2 ripe and mushed banana
  • 5 little peaches,ripe and mushed
  • a pound of strawberries,cutted in cubes
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Amaretto

in a heavy bottomed pot add all the ingredients except the liquor.

Stir over a low heat until the sugar dissolved. Increase the heat to high and bring into boil, and stir often, until the jam reaches 220F. Add the liquor and stir. Transfer into hot sterile jars leaving 1/2 to 1/4 inch headspace and seal. Process in a water bath.

If the jam is going to be eaten, you don’t have to do the water bath, you can refrigerate.

The combination of flavors is like a heaven in your mouth! So well combined, and the Amaretto is just the perfect touch!

i enjoyed with a cup of coffee!
